With a boy and a girl and a huh and a game

As much as you love your family, the home cooked food and pinches on the cheeks (that make you feel like a kid again), there’s always been one problem.

The inevitable pry into your love life and attempted setup with the nice fellow who you went to school with and still reminds you of the second grade.

Sean O’Brien and Erin Rose know how you feel, and they are going to make sure you never feel that way again because the Detroit duo is launching Pick Mi Date, an internet dating game show, in mid-April.  On the site, local singles can register for a blind date where the tab is picked up and the only thing to worry about is discovering each other and the hidden gems of Michigan (but for now just Detroit, Birmingham, and Royal Oak). However, you don’t have to be single to get in on the picking, those who wish not to date can register as a voter.

Pick Mi Date will select the location, and the voters will select who you will go on a date with. Voters who pick the couple that gets the most votes will win a prize.

It’s a love game everybody can play. And hopefully one you can play for keeps.
